I think it’s good to have an ongoing mission statement for your life. Something that helps remind you why you’re here. I think deep down we all know these things, but sometimes getting them out of your head and on paper makes them more tangible.
To quote a terrible cliche that has been true in my life, “it’s about the journey, not the destination.” I have to include that quote because I haven’t always reached my destination, but the journey of TRYING to reach it has brought me fulfillment along the way.
So, I have never done this before, but I’m going to give it a shot:
- My purpose in life is to help others through writing.
- My purpose is to love and be loved.
- My purpose is to be a good friend
- To be good to myself and catch myself when I fall.
- My purpose is to grow spiritually as a person and to know and experience god.
- To seek truth.
- To seek forgiveness.
- To have my ideas of what is possible be expanded
- To be in a loving partnership with a soulmate.
- To have a home full of love.
- To give to others and create more good in this world.
- To be calm in chaos.
- To think for myself.
- To be myself
- I am committed to writing and growing as a writer.
- I am committed to being in a loving partnership.
- I am committed to staying healthy and connecting with others.
- I am committed to growing with the planet and evolving.
